Services

Lodge Equine Stables is well known and popular.

Our aim is to:

  • Provide a safe, knowledgeable teaching, fun environment
  • Broaden the understanding between us and our horses
  • To gain lifelong friendships both human and four legged – you will never stop learning !!

Riding lessons are held throughout Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday &  Saturday, L.E.S. cater for all abilities and levels for the very young and not so young!!
We offer Group lessons with a maximum of 6 riders or Private lessons for those who prefer 1 to 1 tuition.
Rural hacking is very popular and very therapeutic, birthday rides and vouchers are also available on request.

L.E.S. has recently become a Pony Club Centre where we run a number of activities every Wednesday. Own A Pony days are held during the holidays along side training sessions, dressage, clinics, talks, demos and shows.

Pony Club Centre Membership is designed for children who do not own their own pony but would like to become involved in Pony Club activities and gives children the opportunity to learn more about riding and horse/pony care through a range of fun activities and events held at L.E.S. for Pony Club Centre Members. Our ponies are available to hire for all Pony Club Centre events.

Becoming a Pony Club Centre member is ideal for those looking to own their own pony and also those who just want to enjoy the friendship, activities, learning more about ponies, riding and looking after them.
Pony Club Centre Members are encouraged to take the Pony Club Achievement Badges, Efficiency Tests and Progressive Awards.

What you Need

It is not necessary to buy a lot of expensive clothing when learning to ride.   For your comfort and safety, we do ask that riders adhere to the following dress code:

  • Hard hats to current British or European standard must be worn . We have a selection of sizes available for customers.
  • Suitable footwear - boots with a small flat heel. Small Children may initially be comfortable in wellingtons, provided they have a heel. Trainers & high heels are NOT permitted.
  • Stretch jodhpurs, jeans or leggings - no shorts!
  • Gloves are recommended

Whilst every effort is taken to ensure the safety of both horse and rider, customers are politely reminded that horse riding is and will remain a risk sport.
